That is ok if you use an operating system that iLauncher runs on. I can again recommend to use iLauncher here being the easiest option to let to the camera decide if there is one avail. For example, according to Samsung Canada, the latest lensware version numbers for NX300 are 1.11 for 18-55-III, 1.10 for 18-55-II and 1.20 for 18-55-I. Also, lensware updates originally were the same for all nx cameras but some are now camera-specific and lens-model specific so it is harder to keep track. When the 18-55 OIS III was first released it was up to date but recent camera firmware updates have changed that. There are lensware updates for the OiS III to speed up the AF and if not mistaken manage some of the new firmware functions. when the upgrade being attempted is not required. It will also be greyed out if the firmware version already installed is equal to or greater than the version on the SD card. Well, greyed out just means that there is no lens.bin file found on the SD card. The upgrade is only needed for versions 1 and 2 of the lens. For instance, i think the 18-55 OIS 3 lens does not need upgraded firmware. If the option to upgrade lens firmware is greyed out, that usually means it does not need upgrading.
